Paris FC is the other face of football in the French capital. Born from a 1960s dream, giving Paris a great club able to compete with the best cities in Europe, it patiently worked its way through the divisions before returning to the top flight in 2025, almost half a century after its last season among the best. A club created to give Paris a great team

Founded in 1969, Paris FC joined forces with Stade Saint-Germain in 1970 to form Paris Saint-Germain. The union lasted only two years: in 1972, the two entities split and Paris FC went its own way. After a few seasons in the first division in the 1970s, the club spent a long time in the lower divisions, without ever losing its supporters or its roots in the city. Its promotion to Ligue 1 in 2025 closed a forty-six-year gap.

After many seasons at the Stade Charléty, in the south of the capital, the club moved to the Stade Jean-Bouin, in the 16th arrondissement, right opposite the Parc des Princes. It is a stadium on a human scale, where the stands are close to the pitch and every match night feels like a neighbourhood gathering. The club can also count on one of the strongest women’s sections in the country, which greatly contributes to its reputation.
