In the heart of the Mediterranean, RCD Mallorca wears the red and black of an entire island. Founded in Palma in 1916, the club has become one of the most endearing representatives of Spanish football, carried by a crowd proud of its Balearic identity. Its seasons are part of the great history of La Liga, where the island club loves to upset the favourites.
2003, the Bermellones’ Copa del Rey
The finest day in the club’s history remains the 2003 Copa del Rey final, won 3-0 against Recreativo Huelva, with two goals from Samuel Eto’o. Mallorca had already reached the Cup Winners’ Cup final in 1999 and finished on the La Liga podium twice, in 1999 and 2001. In 2024, the Bermellones played in yet another Copa del Rey final, proof that the flame is still burning.
Son Moix, Palma’s stadium
Built for the 1999 Universiade, the Son Moix stadium hosts the club’s matches. Redesigned to bring the crowd closer to the pitch, it vibrates to the rhythm of supporters from all over the island, as well as many visitors who discover Majorcan football during their holidays.
From Palma to the Costa Brava
The Balearic Islands share a language, a culture and the same sea with Catalonia. This closeness shows on the pitch in the matches against Girona FC, a Catalan club that has earned its place among the best in recent years, on the Catalan shore of this shared sea.
Comparing with other European clubs
Those who like to compare styles can continue their visit with the European club jerseys, to discover other colours, other crests and other passions.
Wearing an RCD Mallorca jersey means showing off the red and black of a proud, fighting island club, able to compete with the biggest names. A jersey that appeals to supporters with character and to everyone who keeps a piece of the Balearics in their heart.
